Global Experiences

Background

Though I haven't had the opportunities to travel as much as I'd like, I come from a diverse family and treasure the trips I have taken. Below, I exhibit some of the experiences I've had outside of the United States and how they have shaped my understanding of the world around me.

Please click on the video above to see a bit of footage from my life in Valle Guanape, Merida, and Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela.

Venezuela

I was born in Lecheria, Venezuela on August 10th of 2004. In 2009, I moved to the United States with my family. Having lived on the other side of the equator, I am able to make  connections and appreciate the differences between each culture. There's something so nostalgic about greeting a stranger with a kiss on the cheek or stopping whatever you're doing to celebrate a birthday. I am privileged to have experienced two different ways of life, as it has expanded my perspective.

Costa Rica

Visiting Costa Rica with my family was an experience I won't forget. After living in the U.S for so long it was refreshing to be back in a Spanish-speaking country. I learned a lot about their culture. Though there are a lot of similarities in Latin countries, we each have our own costumes that are special to us. It was refreshing to see such a unified people welcome a family of such diverse background.
